Heiner Wanner is a passionate chamber musician. Aside from playing his horn in Quintetto Inflagranti, Heiner adds his colorful playing to the Quintetto con Spirito and the Ensemble Helvetica. As a freelance musician, Heiner is often heard in various orchestras, including the Zurich Opera Orchestra. His musical activities are rounded off with teaching positions at music schools in the Cantons of Zurich and St.Gallen.
Heiner achieved his Teaching and Orchestra Diplomas in 1996 at the Musikhochschule Zurich where he studied with Matthias Kofmehl. Other teachers included Thomas Müller in Bern and Karl Fässler.
When Heiner is not playing his horn, he is working in the Quintetto Front Office being responsible for public relations and concert acquisition. On his days off, he regains his positive energy by skiing or hiking in the mountains.
